The Big Move

Well it's been one week since I got here and five days since I moved into my very first apartment. Remind me again why I thought it was a good idea to move out on my own, for the very first time, in another country which also happens to be in a different continent? Oh right, as my mom likes to call it, it's the "Michelle way" of doing things. I don't think I could have survived this last week without the support of my family and friends back home. Thank you for being my rock through it all and encouraging me to push past the hurdles and for reminding me of the end goal. I would also like to thank Google Maps for being my sidekick this past week and for helping me find my way around the city. It means the world to me to have the support system I do. This adventure is the chance of a lifetime and I am honoured to be able to take it. I don't want to forget a thing about the next two years, and this is my way of making sure I don't.
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." ~ Mark Twain
